Emmerdale aired tense scenes on Wednesday night, as Jamie Tate continued to create a divide between the Dingle family. Monday's episode saw Nate Robinson agree to keep quiet about Jamie being the hit-and-run driver who almost killed Moira Dingle.

But he wanted his job back and a lot of cash to buy his silence, something Belle Dingle seemed in agreement with. Belle is dating Jamie, and her romance with Kim Tate's son has left her family outraged.

They have no idea that she is hiding, like Nate, the fact Jamie was the driver, which is a huge betrayal given Moira is the wife of her brother and Nate's father Cain.

Belle seemed appreciative that Nate agreed to stay silent, feeling the pressure to protect Jamie. But on Wednesday things appeared
