Emmerdale's Brenda Walker, played by actress Lesley Dunlop, could be facing a heartbreaking exit from the soap. Dunlop has been a mainstay on the ITV drama since 2008, portraying the much-loved character Brenda.

She has been part of many significant storylines, including one where Brenda battled and overcame a brain tumour. Furthermore, she has remained steadfastly by Eric Pollard's (Chris Chittell) side during his Parkinson's diagnosis.

Additionally, last New Year's Day saw Brenda's surrogate son Heath Hope ((Sebastian Dowling) tragically die in a car accident, causing shockwaves throughout the village.

Interestingly, off-camera, Dunlop is romantically involved with Chris Chittell, who plays her on-screen partner Eric. The couple first met when she joined the cast in 2008.
