New mum Emily Atack has spoken candidly about her romance with Alistair Garner, the father of her baby.The 34 year old actress, who gave birth to their son Barney in June, has revealed that she felt like she had "won the lottery" when she discovered she was pregnant.The couple were on holiday in Palermo, Italy, when they found out the happy news, and their whirlwind romance accelerated as soon as the pregnancy test came back positive.

In a rare interview about her relationship, Emily shared that the pair were enjoying their last night in Italy, discussing their future plans for a family, when she realised her period was late.

Speaking to The Times, Emily recalled: "[Alistair] joked 'Let's buy a pregnancy test then'. We did and I was pregnant. It was the happiest, most perfect day of my life.

Not long afterwards, he packed all his stuff in a van in Manchester where he lived and arrived at my house." Emily revealed that soon after, they bought a house together, and the day after they finished unpacking, baby Barney arrived.The loved-up pair are planning to get married, with Emily adding: "I know Al will look after me and Barney.
