Emiliano Marcondes feels a 'connection' with the Hibs fans - as he dropped a hint he could be at Easter Road to stay. The Bournemouth loanee has quickly acquired cult hero status among punters in Leith after a string of impressive displays since his January move.
He's only on loan but is out of contract in the summer which means he will be free to negotiate a permanent move if the club push to keep him.Marcondes, one of four January arrivals alongside Myziane Maolida, Nectar Triantis and Eliezer Mayenda, knows it can be hard for loan players to connect with fans who will always have a natural preference for one of their 'own.' But he says he hasn't struggled with that so far - because he always gives 110 per cent regardless.He was asked in an interview with the Edinburgh Evening News if loan players need to work harder to win over fans and said: “I’ve had that question before.
I’ve seen it with different players. But I think, no matter where I am, I’m always going to play with my heart and with the emotions of the club and the fans.“I’m a player who dives into the emotions and the feeling of the fans, the feeling of winning for the club.
And I really put myself into the emotions of people around the club; I’m connected to people, which means I’m more motivated.
