Big-hearted Anne Croucher cracked her mission to provide care homes in Dumfries with an Easter egg for elderly residents to enjoy.
The community champion at the Tesco Extra store at Cuckoo Bridge got off to a good start when the supermarket gifted the first 100 eggs and she is thrilled with all the support she has received from colleagues and shoppers who donated more eggs.
Together with a successful fundraising Easter charity bingo night at Troqueer Community Centre, it meant more than 450 residents in the care homes in Dumfries received an unexpected chocolate treat.
Anne and the Easter Bunny, together with a young helper, Oscar, also took them out to the care homes to hand them over. The eggs were shared between Charnwood Lodge, Alanbank, Goldielea, Abbey Gardens, Claremont House and Lochduar.
