Sir Elton Hercules John CH CBE (born Reginald Kenneth Dwight; 25 March 1947) is an English singer, songwriter, pianist, and composer. He has worked with lyricist Bernie Taupin since 1967; they have collaborated on more than 30 albums. John has sold more than 300 million records, making him one of the world's best-selling music artists. He has more than fifty Top 40 hits, as well as seven consecutive number-one albums in the United States, 58 Billboard Top 40 singles, 27 Top 10 singles, four of which peaked at number two and nine of which reached number one. His tribute single "Candle in the Wind 1997", rewritten in dedication to Diana, Princess of Wales, sold over 33 million copies worldwide and is the best-selling single in the history of the UK and US singles charts. He has also produced records and occasionally acted in films. John owned Watford F.C. from 1976 to 1987 and from 1997 to 2002, and is an honorary life president of the club.

Elton John has sparked concerns from fans after being pictured arriving at Leipzig Airport in Germany in a wheelchair on Sunday.The megastar was heading to his home in Nice after a show when he was snapped being pushed in the chair by one of his team as they headed into the terminal ahead of his flight.The Sacrifice hitmaker is set to return to the UK for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee concert on Saturday.He will sing in a pre-recorded performance for the show and will star alongside the likes of Diana Ross.The legendary musician, 75, looked stylish in a blue Gucci tracksuit and sported a facemask.In the images obtained by the Mirror, he was seen getting out of a car, getting into the wheelchair and then going inside the airport with his entourage.Elton has a packed schedule this summer as he's also taking his Farewell tour across Europe throughout June, with scheduled dates in Switzerland, Denmark, Netherlands and France.Elton has been pictured in a wheelchair in previous years and in 2019 revealed he was using one after suffering a sprained ankle.He told fans at the time as he visited the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy: "Not even a sprained ankle could keep me away from seeing one one of the most beautiful museums in the world."Mirror Online has contacted Elton's representative for comment.And while Elton has a busy month ahead, he has previously spoken about his hopes of slowing down to spend more time with his family.In 2018, he announced he was ready to say goodbye to the touring as he 'had enough' of it.He said on This Morning: "I'm looking forward to saying goodbye.
