Sir Elton Hercules John CH CBE (born Reginald Kenneth Dwight; 25 March 1947) is an English singer, songwriter, pianist, and composer. He has worked with lyricist Bernie Taupin since 1967; they have collaborated on more than 30 albums. John has sold more than 300 million records, making him one of the world's best-selling music artists. He has more than fifty Top 40 hits, as well as seven consecutive number-one albums in the United States, 58 Billboard Top 40 singles, 27 Top 10 singles, four of which peaked at number two and nine of which reached number one. His tribute single "Candle in the Wind 1997", rewritten in dedication to Diana, Princess of Wales, sold over 33 million copies worldwide and is the best-selling single in the history of the UK and US singles charts. He has also produced records and occasionally acted in films. John owned Watford F.C. from 1976 to 1987 and from 1997 to 2002, and is an honorary life president of the club.
Bernie Taupin
Bernard John Taupin (born 22 May 1950) is an English lyricist, poet, singer and artist. He is best known for his long-term collaboration with Elton John, having written the lyrics for most of John's songs.

Sir Elton John has opened up about his health struggles and the fear he feels for his future with his family. On an emotional episode of BBC's The Graham Norton Show, which aired on Friday night, the music icon was there with his musical partner Brandi Carlile to chat about their new single 'Who Believes In Angels?', set to drop on April 4, reports the Mirror.The 77 year old shared a touching moment when he revealed that working on the new song forced him to face his own mortality. "Bernie Taupin (Elton's lyricist) gave me a lyric for a song called, 'When This Whole World Is Done With Me', and I'm writing the verse (music) quite quickly, and I think this is a really lovely verse," Elton said while sitting with Graham.

And as a 76 year old man, which I was at that time, and having children and having a husband, mortality, and you think about, 'How long have I got?
