Elton John is opening up about his musical Tammy Faye, that did not last very long on Broadway.

The 78-year-old musician wrote the music for the show, which first opened in London in 2022 before moving to Broadway for the 2024-2025 season.

However, after a month of previews, the musical opened on November 14th and a few days later, it was announced it would close on December 8th due to poor ticket sales and negative reviews.

The show only played 24 previews and 29 regular performances. In a new interview, Elton shared his thoughts on the show flopping and why he thinks it did.
