Elliot Anderson has already switched allegiance to Scotland from England once. Now the Three Lions want him back. The Newcastle starlet was born in Whitley Bay and represented England at various youth levels.

However, he made the switch to dark blue - eligible through his grandmother - and has one Under 21 cap for Scot Gemmill’s side.

He’s on the fringes of Eddie Howe’s first team at St James’ Park and highly rated by the Toon, who knocked back bids for Anderson during the January transfer window. But now England are attempting to convince him to rejoin their ranks for the 2025 Euro Under 21 qualifying campaign, according to the Sun.

Having already played for Scotland in the qualifying rounds of this summer’s final, Anderson won't be eligible for England and must wait until the next campaign kicks off in September.
