Ellie Goulding screams in horror on stage as she's hit with burning special effects
ok.co.ukSinging superstar Ellie Goulding had a fright on stage, as she was hit in the face by a burning special effect which went off at the wrong time.The 36-year-old singer was performing over the Bank Holiday Weekend – in front of 170,000 fans at the Victorious Festival in Portsmouth – when the terrifying incident happened.
Ellie was belting out one of her most well-known tunes, Miracle, when it looked like a pyrotechnics flame which was on the stage started to spray in her face.The audience could only observe the incident take place as they audibly gasped, while Ellie ran away from the scene.
Ellie was spotted holding her face, but thankfully there was no serious damage to her or anyone in the crowd. And fans who had been excited to see her were not disappointed, as Ellie returned to the stage to finish her set.
Mum-of-three Ellie took to her Instagram after the performance to thank her fans for being "the best." This performance comes days after Ellie returned from her relaxing summer holiday which she went on with her son Arthur, two, who she shares with art dealer husband Caspar Jopling, 30.
