In a recent Tweet, Katy Perry has expressed her support for ‘friend’ Ellen DeGeneres amid the controversy surrounding the talk show.

Warner Bros. is currently investigating the talk show after there were reports of workplace toxicity. Katy has been a frequent guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and wanted to share her support for Ellen in a couple of tweets on August 4. “I know I can’t speak for anyone else’s experience besides my own but I want to acknowledge that I have only ever had positive takeaways from my time with Ellen & on the @theellenshow,” wrote Katy.

In her second Tweet, she added “I think we all have witnessed the light & continual fight for equality that she has brought to the world through her platform for decades.
