Elizabeth Gilbert has made the decision to pull her latest book from shelves. The author, whose most memorable work is “Eat, Pray, Love”, took the book off of the release schedule for 2024. Keep reading to find out more… Following a lot of negative attention from users on GoodReads, Elizabeth revealed that the release of the book, titled “The Snow Forest”, would be put on pause indefinitely.
The novel is actually set in Russia and several users pointed out that the release was ill-timed given the ongoing conflict between the country and Ukraine. “I have heard these messages, and read these messages, and I respect them,” she said in a clip. “It is not the time for this book to be published.” The book’s release was only announced last week, but by yesterday afternoon, the novel had over 500 one-star ratings.
