The 29-year-old joined Wanderers on a two-year deal on the eve of the new League One season after being released by former club Sheffield Wednesday over the summer.
Kachunga has played eight times for Bolton since arriving and made his second start for the club in the Papa John's Trophy win over Port Vale.
