A known trick to prolong a bunch of bananas is to wrap their stems in clingfilm, but it turns out that a “more effective” method is immersing them in water.
The hack was brought to light by an Express reader, who revealed the hack in a comment on a previous banana-preserving article.As reported by the Express, it read: “A simple and cheaper way of making bananas last longer is to immerse the stalk end in water.
