Edith Mendoza Alva Exits As Netflix Director, Comedy
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Edith Mendoza Alva has departed Netflix after a three-year stint as Director, Comedy, Original Series. “Edy has been instrumental in the launch of several Netflix series — her creative partnership here has been felt throughout and we are thankful for her contributions,” said Tracey Pakosta, VP of Comedy, Netflix.
The series Mendoza Alva worked on during her Netflix tenure includes Unstable, starring, co-created and executive produced by Rob Lowe and John Owen Lowe; and Mike Schur’s upcoming A Man on the Inside, headlined by Ted Danson.
Mendoza Alva joined Netflix in October 2021. Prior to that, she spent 23 years at CBS, rising through the ranks from an executive assistant to manager, director, VP and ultimately SVP, Comedy Development.
