deadline.comNetflix debuted yet another holiday rom-com last week, which audiences quickly boosted to the top of the English films list.
The Merry Gentlemen, starring Chad Michael Murray and Britt Robertson, amassed 14.7M views from November 18 to 24, making it the most-watched title of the week.
In fact, the English films list was largely dominated by holiday movies, including two other recent Netflix originals, Hot Frosty and Meet Me Next Christmas, which came in at No.
2 with 12.7M views and No. 7 with 5.9M views, respectively. Netflix’s animated original Spellbound also made its debut on November 22, soaring to third place with 8.5M views in its first few days on the streamer.
