United were expected to challenge for the Premier League title, but they recorded their lowest ever league points total instead and they're now set to play Europa League football next term.
Although the majority of the players at the club have grossly underperformed, Ronaldo and De Gea actually ended the season with enhanced reputations.
Ronaldo, 37, finished the campaign as United's top goalscorer with 24 goals in 39 appearances and De Gea often won the Reds points with world-class saves.
