For more than 110 years, Edinburgh Zoo has been one of Scotland's top destinations for a day out - and it just got even better.

Participants in the ScotRail Kids for a Quid ticket scheme can now enjoy free admission for one child to the zoo.* Additionally, the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) recently introduced a discount for visitors receiving certain benefits, including Universal Credit.* This initiative allows more people than ever to experience the wonders of nature.

The discounted admission is available to anyone currently receiving Universal Credit, income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA), income-based Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA), Housing Benefit, Working Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit, or Income Support.Eligible visitors can enter the parks for just £7 per person until the end of September, representing a 70% discount for adults and a 55% discount for children.Set on over 82 acres of wooded hillside, Edinburgh Zoo is open seven days a week and serves as a gateway to the natural world.Here, visitors can explore a variety of wildlife, learn about the challenges facing different species, and discover what RZSS is doing to prevent animal extinction.The zoo is home to more than 2,500 animals from around the world, including penguins, giraffes, chimpanzees, flamingos, a variety of big cats, and Scotland's only sloths and koalas.Recently, the zoo welcomed Cleo the cheetah, the first of her species to live there in over 24 years.For those seeking a closer encounter with the animals, the zoo offers unique keeper experiences and magic moment packages.These experiences allow visitors to spend time with keepers behind the scenes and feed animals like giraffes, sloths, penguins, rhinos, and meerkats.A
