Search dogs and mountain rescue crews have been drafted in to help locate a missing hillwalker who vanished on a hiking trip in the Highlands.

Paul Conway, 67, has been missing for four days. He travelled from Newcastle to Glenfinnan by train on Tuesday, September 10 and contacted his family upon his arrival at around 6.40pm.

He planned to walk from Glenfinnan to Inverie in Knoydart to the most remote pub in the UK, but failed to arrive as expected on the afternoon of Friday, September 13.

The father has not been seen or heard from since. It has been confirmed that dogs from Search and Rescue Dog Association Scotland have been deployed to the rescue mission alongside teams from Lochaber Mountain Rescue, the Royal Air Force and Police Scotland to help find Paul.
