Edinburgh McDonald's 'sorry' after staff tells mum of diabetic child 'it's not my problem'

An Edinburgh mum has slammed McDonald's after staff members messed up an order intended for her type 1 diabetic daughter, but said 'it wasn't their problem' when she phoned to complain.

The parent told how her seven-year-old lost has been struggling to eat and feeling down recently due to being unwell, so decided to cheer her up with a rare McDonald's from the Cameron Toll restaurant on Tuesday, October 11.

In order to have the treat, she administered insulin to her daughter but was left disappointed when the delivery arrived with just two small portions of chips instead of the kid's happy meal and other food, reports EdinburghLive.

However things went from bad to worse after the mum called to raise the issue with the local food chain, only to be told 'it's not our problem' by a worker.The mum said: "We offered my daughter a McDonald's and she was delighted as she loves the chicken nuggets.
