Five more men have been arrested in Edinburgh over the Bonfire Night riots as police continue their probe into Scotland’s night of widespread firework disorder.
The arrests come after communities throughout Scotland witnessed disturbing scenes on Bonfire Night last year, with fireworks being used to attack emergency service personnel, public transport and shops.
All five men have been arrested in connection with disorder offences. Officers executed search warrants at addresses in the Broomhall and Saughton areas of the capital on Thursday, January 30, as part of the ongoing criminal investigation into the disorder that took place in Calder Road.
There, a 17-year-old male was arrested in Broomhall, while a 16-year-old boy was arrested in Saughton.Alongside that, three other men were arrested in connection with offences that took place in Calder Road and Captains Road.
