Ed Sheeran

Edward Christopher Sheeran, MBE (born 17 February 1991) is an English singer-songwriter. In early 2011, Sheeran independently released the extended play, No. 5 Collaborations Project. After signing with Asylum Records, his debut album, + (pronounced "plus"), was released in September 2011. It topped the UK and Australian charts, reached number five in the US, and has since been certified eight-times platinum in the UK.

The album contains the single "The A Team", which earned him the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically. In 2012, Sheeran won the Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. "The A Team" was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards, where he performed the song with Elton John.

Ed Sheeran’s Overpass Graffiti sets course for Number 1 on Official UK Singles Chart

Ed Sheeran is set for Official Chart domination this week following the release of his new album = (Equals), with three songs on course to land in the Official Singles Chart Top 10.

The album’s latest single Overpass Graffiti is on track to debut at Number 1 this Friday (November 5), while former chart-toppers Shivers (2) and Bad Habits (5) are in the Top 5.

Should it hold on, Ed could be celebrating his 12th UK Number 1 single, and third in 2021 alone. View Ed Sheeran’s Official Chart history here.

Elsewhere in the Top 10, Adele’s Easy On Me drops to Number 3 after two weeks at the summit, and Becky Hill & Topic’s My Heart Goes (La Di Da) could climb into the Top 10, so far up one place to 10.
