evoke.ieEd Sheeran has been a power player on the music scene for so long now that it comes as no surprise that his daughter’s godfather also a musician and an Irish one at that.
While the Shape of You singer has kept his daughter Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran out of the public eye since she arrived last August, he has lifted the lid on who her godfather is.
It’s none other than Snow Patrol bassist Johnny McDaid. The pair have been great pals for years and they collaborated together on a number of hits.
Their friendship extends far past the music studio though, as Ed was responsible for a pretty life-changing meeting. He actually introduced the bass player to his partner of eight years, Friends star Courteney Cox.
