Pupils at Ed Sheeran’s old school are getting their best-ever results thanks to the singer’s gift of 200,000 notes. The 29-year-old – who got an F in his music exams – gave the cash to fund musical kit, computers, photographic gear and art resources.
The donation to Thomas Mills High School in Framlingham, Suffolk – where he met wife Cherry – was revealed in a progress report.
He then went on to get that low mark when he left the school. The school’s director of music, Richard Hanley, said: “The grant sets the school apart in access to exceptional arts provision.
