Actor Adam Woodyatt has played the character since the very first episode back in 1985. Along the way he's faced trauma, heartache and big storylines - and as the BBC soap went off air in June due to the coronavirus pandemic, it ended with a big secret boiling away.
Ian is hiding something huge from his loved ones and best friend Sharon, which is just waiting to erupt. When it does come out, which knowing soap land of course it will, Walford could be changed forever.
