The 47 year old, who originally hails from Bradford, entered the show as the new wife of veteran character, Stacey Slater, played by Lacey Turner.
While viewers learned the marriage was one of convenience in the end - Stacey married Eve after meeting her in prison so that she would become eligible for probation - Eve has remained a staple cast member ever since.
