Ian Beale popped the question and proposed to Sharon from his deathbed in hospital after learning he has a bleed on the brain from his recent assault.
Sharon initially refused and said they would be a silly couple plus they are both getting divorced, but he begged her to reconsider.
She left, and later returned with a vicar, who told him she had a marriage license. "The answers yes, Ian. I will marry you," beamed Sharon, and Ian looked overjoyed.
