Former EastEnders actor Ross Kemp has confessed that he still thinks of Barbara Windsor every day - and keeps a photo of her on his living room wall.The TV hardman, 59, worked with the iconic actress, who played his on-screen mum, Queen Vic barmaid Peggy Mitchell, for many years - and she clearly made a huge impact on his life.The two actors formed a strong bond on set playing mother and son - and Ross, who played Peggy’s son Grant, has opened up on his precious memories of the late Dame in a moving chat with The Sun. .
The pair were so close that Ross even agreed to return to Albert Square in 2016 to take part in Barbara’s devastating exit storyline - when the actress’s worsening Alzheimer’s symptoms meant she could no longer work.
Last December marked three years since ‘Babs’ passing aged 83 following a long battle with Alzheimer’s - and Ross admits he has thought about her ever single day since.
He said: "She's someone that I loved, and I spoke to, I spent a lot of time with. "I've got a picture of her in my house, so I bounce past that every day - it's a picture of her when she was about 23, wearing not very much, funnily enough, but I don't think of her in that way!
