EastEnders' Reiss Colwell finds himself in a web of deceit next week after he shockingly murdered his wife, Debbie, to clear her mounting care home debts.
Debbie had been in a coma for some time following a stroke, and Reiss (played by Jonny Freeman) turned to murder to resolve his financial issues during Wednesday's episode of the BBC soap (July 24).
Initially, he was using Debbie's money to fund his and Sonia's (Natalie Cassidy) IVF treatment, which has been a success. The accountant also swindled £13.5k from Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), and her business partner Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) is hot on his trail to reclaim the stolen funds, which Reiss had planned to invest - or that's what he told the pair.
