EastEnders legend breaks silence as she reunites with on-screen daughter after 37 years

Anita Dobson has made an emotional return to the EastEnders set for the first time in 37 years, reuniting with Letitia Dean, who played her on-screen daughter Sharon Watts.

The 75-year-old actress is best known for her role as Angie, the original landlady of The Queen Vic, famed for her dramatic exploits and manipulation of her husband 'Dirty' Den Watts (Leslie Grantham).

From 1985 to 1988, she portrayed the emotionally drained and alcohol-dependent Angie, becoming a lasting icon of the BBC soap.

However, when Angie's marriage to Den started to falter, she tried to split up Den and his upper-class mistress Jan by falsely claiming she was terminally ill.
