Following a tumultuous reunion after Cindy's dramatic return from the dead, the duo found themselves leaning on each other amidst their individual dramas in Albert Square, and teamed up when their daughters Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) and Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) needed them most.
However, for BBC One viewers, it was only a matter of time before the former boxer, played by Colin, rekindled their romance.
Devotees of the London-set soap have been increasingly convinced that despite his engagement to Vic landlady Elaine, George would be tempted to revisit his unresolved past with Cindy, especially since she vanished off the radar and left him a single dad in 2014.
