EastEnders fans heartbroken as Whitney shoots down Zack’s dreams of another baby

It was another emotional night in Walford on Tuesday, as baby Peach’s due date presented Whitney Dean and Zack Hudson with a poignant milestone.

As regular viewers will know, the couple made the heartbreaking decision to terminate their pregnancy earlier this year, after it was revealed that Peach had Edwards syndrome, a rare genetic condition that would affect her growth and development.

United in their decision to remember their unborn child on the day she should have been welcomed into the world, Zack and Whitney shared an emotional moment together as they reflected on their journey this year and the precious little girl they would never see grow up.

Keen to be a father, Zack later revealed that he now no longer had a detachable viral load for his HIV then suggested to Whitney that they should consider having another baby together as he looked towards their future. “I know it sounds silly, but getting those results today of all days, I thought maybe it’s a sign,” began Zack as he and Whitney visited Peach’s memorial tree. “Maybe we can try talking about trying for another baby, a brother or sister for peach now that we don’t have to use protection.” However, Whitney couldn’t bring herself to put her body through that pain again, leading her to tell Zack in no uncertain terms, that she wasn’t willing to try for a baby with him.
