EastEnders fans fear for Lily’s safety after unexpected gift from teacher Theo

As the residents of Albert Square continued to reel on Wednesday following the news of Nish Panesar’s arrest, there was more drama afoot for another family aside from the Panesar’s, when Stacey Slater found herself in a sticky situation with daughter Lily.

As regular viewers will know, Stacey has been struggling to afford her bills in recent weeks, which meant that for pregnant daughter Lily’s upcoming birthday, she was having to cut back on any chance of a lavish or big present for the teen.The news came as somewhat of a blow to Lily, who had begged her mum to buy her a pair of new trainers to mark the special occasion.

Forced to admit that they were too extravagant a purchase, Stacey quickly shot down the idea of buying something so expensive - but just a few short hours later, a pair of the exact trainers Lily had requested somehow found their way into her daughter’s possession thanks to teacher Theo Hawthorne.

Understandably, Stacey was far from impressed by the act of charity, as buying expensive gifts for one of her children and not the others created an imbalance within the home that she wasn’t happy with.This prompted her to hand the gift back to Theo and tell Lily she couldn’t accept it.
