A legendary EastEnders couple look on the verge of reuniting next week when Kat and Alfie – played by Jessie Wallace and Shane Richie – share an unexpected kiss.The pair have been brought closer in recent weeks following Kat’s trouble with son Tommy, who lashed out at her.

However, in dealing with the crisis, we will see the pair realise they still have feelings for each other. Soon, their friends and family are talking about the pair reuniting.

With Kat and Alfie's rollercoaster history, will the pair decide it’s the right thing to do? Tommy has been taken in by social services after a concerned Jean called them, so at the beginning of the week, Kat is giving the rest of the Slaters the cold shoulder.

However, Alfie begs Stacey to call a truce and plots to get Kat to meet the others in the pub. Kat is furious to have been tricked, but after Alfie makes an emotional speech, the family reconcile.
