mirror.co.ukEastEnders fans were heartbroken as Chantelle Atkins' murder could have been avoided on Friday's episode. Chantelle (Jessica Plummer) was pushed into the dishwasher by her husband Gray (Toby-Alexander Smith), and it smashed underneath her, leaving her impaled in the debris.
She may have been saved if Gray had called for medical assistance straight away, but he left her to die before staging the scene as an accident.
Kheerat Panesar (Jaz Deol) had been helping Chantelle with her escape plan, but Gray found this out and forced her to leave Kheerat a voicemail to say she had changed her mind and was staying with Gray.
