EastEnders ’ Chantelle Atkins was almost drowned by her husband Gray in upsetting scenes that aired on Tuesday. Desperate to escape Gray, Chantelle (Jessica Plummer) asked Kheerat Panesar for some help with getting together enough money to pay the divorce lawyer.

He obliged, but later on, Gray (Toby Alexander-Smith) saw Chantelle's search history showed a divorce lawyer and that she had tried to clear her search history.

He told her he was going to divorce her, but that he would not let her see their children. He ordered Chantelle to get out of his sight - but she went upstairs to run a bath.

Gray unlocked the door and marched in, telling Chantelle she had to prove to him that she loved the kids. Chantelle sobbed as she begged him to stop,
