EastEnders boss confirms major Christmas storyline as 'exciting' character to return

EastEnders is planning big things for Christmas in Walford this year, with bosses not letting the coronavirus pandemic get in the way of festivities.

The soap will finally come back on air next month, after running out of episodes due to Covid-19 halting filming in March. Speaking to press including Mirror online at a virtual event, Kate Oates confirmed she and Jon Sen were very much in the process of planning Christmas Day's famously huge episode.

While keeping spoilers as such under wraps, she did confess one major thing that will lead the way for the months that follow.
