He is responsible for kickstarting the careers of musical giants such as Ed Sheeran, Stormzy, JME, Jessie J, Emeli Sande and Skepta amongst other big names.He has also founded a youth charity and opened up the conversation for mental health amongst teenagers.He died Sunday, February 20 aged 31, after suffering from what has been described as a “sudden illness”.Loose Women shared a clip of Jamal’s appearance on the show back in November last year.He discussed the reasons behind his success: “I felt that a lot of my friends weren’t being represented in the mainstream media, that inspired me.”“Honestly, my mum’s work ethic inspired me as well,” admitted the star.Charlene White discussed Jamal through teary eyes, mentioning his “utterly beautiful face" and that his “impact will keep going on and be felt for years and years to come".Judi Love also spoke about Jamal as tears fell: “It wasn’t just the things he did in public, it was the things that he did outside.
