EastEnders star Aidan O'Callaghan has teased his character Lewis Butler's potential return to the BBC One soap in the future, pointing out that the door hasn't been "fully shut".
Earlier this year, Ben Mitchell, played by Max Bowden, was sexually assaulted by Lewis in harrowing scenes. And during this week Ben's father Phil Mitchell and aunty Sam Mitchell got revenge on the rapist by holding him at gunpoint at an abandoned warehouse.
After confronting Lewis and pointing a gun at him, Ben decided to let Lewis go as he told his family that he gave him a "little scare", vowing to report Lewis to the police.
To which protective dad Phil hugged his son, sweetly declaring: "I'm proud of you." Talking about his character's exit scenes and the storyline, actor Aidan, who plays Lewis, told Digital Spy: "In terms of the story, it's a massive emotional week.
