East Kilbride residents are being asked to share their thoughts on new transport proposal

A public consultation will be held tonight for locals to share their views on a new transport interchange in East Kilbride.East Kilbride residents are being encouraged to head along to the public engagement event at Duncanrig Secondary school tonight between 6pm and 9pm to give their feedback on a potential park and ride, public transport facility and active travel connections at Hairmyres Rail Station.Elements of the new plan form part of the East Kilbride Rail Enhancement Project, which is a key part of the Scottish Government’s plans to decarbonise Scotland’s railway to passenger service by providing greener trains along the route.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
