East Kilbride Probus Club restarts its winter programme on Wednesday, October 2 and is extending an invite to new members to join.EK Probus is an association of retired and semi-retired professional and business people who come together to provide regular gatherings of people who, in retirement or semi-retirement, appreciate and value opportunities to meet others in similar circumstances and of a similar level of interest.The club meets every first and third Wednesday of the month in Westwood Parish Church, East Kilbride at 2.30pm and all new members are welcome.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

The opening meeting on October 2 will be with Bobby Keys on ‘The History of Piping’, and later members will hear from Bruce Keith who will talk about ‘Scotland Beneath the Surface’.Looking forward to next year, events will include a presentation on the Original Flying Scotsman and Police Forces in Lanarkshire.
There will also be two visits - October 23 and November 27 – one of which will be to Glasgow City Chambers.The current committee and members look forward to welcoming any new members to join them at anytime throughout the season.
