East and South East Asian food and culture festival heading for Manchester food and drink market

A festival celebrating East and South East Asian food, cinema and culture is heading to Manchester in September. The event will happen at the Grub food and drink market on Red Bank, and will mark the third annual East and South East Asian Heritage Month.

Top food vendors, pop-up cinema, art workshops and even a gin and tonic masterclass will be among a host of activities going on on September 3.

Deansgate favourite Rosa’s Thai, Little Yellow Rice Co, Wong Dumplings, Jyoti’s Momo and Phat Rollz will be among those showcasing the best of East and South East Asian cuisine. Meanwhile, East and South East Asian cinema exhibitor Milk Tea will curate a free film screening in Grub’s 108-seater cinema space.

For kids, there will be a reading by children’s author Eva Wong Nava, who will also be running a workshop on how to make paper lanterns.
