Former This Morning host Eamonn Holmes has waded into the ongoing furore surrounding the ITV show.As crisis talks continue over at the London studios of the channel's flagship daytime programme, GB News presenter Eamonn hasn't wasted his opportunity to have his say after his own very well known issues with his ex co-star.
Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby will head back to work this morning following days of speculation as to whether or not they would be on screen for Monday's show as scheduled.Yesterday(Sunday) ITV bosses confirmed the news the hosts would be on the sofa as usual on Monday, despite, according to reports, Holly being so "upset" about their rumoured feud that she could be absent. But ITV officially confirmed: "Holly and Phillip will be back on the sofa tomorrow."And now Eamonn has launched his own attack on the stars on GB News this morning as he said they were a "broken fit".Eamonn had been referring to the BAFTA Awards last night, which Holly and Phil were not present at, as he added: "I think there should have been a special award for Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby for best actors."'They may or may not be together on the telly today.
The public surely will suss that there's no chemistry, that it's a broken fit between the two of them and that This Morning does not depend on who presents it."It's an institution, it will carry on no matter who presents it and anyone can check the viewing figures, there's no difference between whether they present it or anyone else."Eamonn, of course, hosted This Morning with wife Ruth Langsford for more than a decade, from 2006 until 2021.
