Eamonn Holmes and wife Ruth Langsford have had to make a major change to their home following his back operation last year. The former This Morning presenter was forced to undergo a back operation last October after suffering from chronic pain for 10 months and has only recently returned to work.
The broadcaster previously shared that he had been getting steroid injections in his spine after surgeons decided against operating when a trapped sciatic nerve left him struggling to walk.Following the operation, the 63-year-old has had to make adjustments to his home life and in a bid to aid his recovery an electric lift was installed in their house.
Testing out the new piece of kit, fellow broadcaster Rylan had a shot on the machine leaving both Ruth and Eamonn in stitches.
In a post uploaded to Instagram by Rylan, the It Takes Two presenter could be seen baffled by the noisy lift as he gave it a go. "You have to wait till it stops beeping," Ruth tells him, adding: "Don't bloody break it!""It's the noise!" Rylan says, before the machine kicks into gear and he starts waving to Ruth and the camera."Oh this is nice!" he says, before turning to his 'TV dad' who's off-camera telling him: "Can I just say, I know you've been through it dad, but you have an easy life here.
