Eamonn Holmes broke down in tears as he remembered his late father, Leonard, on Sunday's episode of RTE One's The Meaning Of Life.The presenter's father tragically passed away in 1991 of a heart attack aged 64 and Eamonn, 61, paid tribute during an emotional interview with Joe Duffy.
Remembering his father, Eamonn said that he always wanted to provide for him, even when he had started his successful television career, and showered him with hugs.
He said: "All he did was say things like, 'Do you need any money?' I was on Ulster Television and I was earning £12,000 a year.
