Eamonn Holmes announces he has become a grandad live on This Morning

This Morning presenter Eamonn Holmes has shared the happy news that he has become a grandad for the first time after his son Declan welcomed new baby girl, Amelia, with his wife Jenny.

The 61-year-old, who shares his son Declan with his ex-wife Gabrielle, made the announcement alongside his current wife Ruth Langsford on This Morning.

Eamonn said: ‘My son Declan and his wife Jenny are the happy couple. Jenny gave birth to Amelia, who is 7lbs 6oz.’ As the show kicked off Eamonn informed viewers that ‘a lot had happened since the last show, with Ruth adding excitedly, ‘You’re a grandad.’ Ruth added that Declan and Jenny have decided on a ‘lovely’ name for their baby girl.
