Diagnosed as dyslexic while still at school, Chris Garland never expected to one day run his own successful business, but that is exactly what he has done - overcoming obstacles so many people with dyslexia face to have a career that he loves.
After 15 years in the construction industry, he decided to change career and share his own way of learning with others - offering medical and safety training for businesses and charities nationally via Chris Garland Training.
Such is the success of his training business, he has scooped a number of awards, including being a national winner at the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) Celebrating Small Business Awards.
Over the years the company has been nominated, shortlisted or won a number of awards including the Theo Paphitis Small Business Sunday Award, a Smart Social Award for its use of social media, and King of Safety Training celebrating men in business.
