More than 100,000 Brits suffering from a respiratory health condition could receive hundreds of pounds in extra financial support from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

Those suffering from severe asthma, upper respiratory tract disease, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Asbestosis, and other health issues affecting their breathing could be eligible for PIP.

A successful claim for PIP can provide between £28.70 and £184.30 per week in additional financial support. Since the benefit is paid every four weeks, this equates to between £114.80 and £737.20 each pay period.

Asthma and Living UK's latest figures reveal that there are currently 5.4 million people across the UK receiving treatment for asthma.
