More than two-thirds of people eligible for the Disability Cost of Living payment have received their cash, according to figures from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
According to figures, a total of 4.8 million payment have been processed so far, with the government department spending roughly £700 million.
It comes after the payment period ended its third day today, with payments starting on Tuesday, June 20. Previously, the DWP estimated that around 6.5 million claimants will benefit from the scheme.
