The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has recently confirmed that benefits, including Carer's Allowance, will see a 1.7 per cent increase for the 2025/26 financial year.

The new payment rates for disability benefits such as Personal Independence Payment (PIP) and Attendance Allowance will come into effect from April 7.

A successful claim for PIP currently provides between £28.70 and £184.30 each week in additional financial support. As the benefit is paid every four weeks - resulting in 13 payments over a year instead of 12 - this equates to between £114.80 and £737.20 every payment period.

With the 1.7 per cent uprating, people on disability benefits will receive between £29.20 and £187.45 each week, or £116.80 or £749.80 every four-week pay period.
